Return & Refund

General Terms

  • As our products are handwoven and delicate, we allow cancellations, returns, or exchanges only in exceptional cases.
  • Minor color variations due to lighting or monitor settings do not qualify as defects.
  • Products with fall, pico, tassels, or blouse detachment are not eligible for return or exchange.
  • Customized products and stitched blouses are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Return Policy

  • Returns are accepted only in case of a manufacturing defect or incorrect dispatch.
  • Return requests must be made within 48 hours via email to info@banarasisilkmahal.com, with supporting images, for incorrect/damaged items.
  • The product must be:
    • Unused, unwashed, unaltered, and in original packaging with tags and invoice.
  • Opened, tried-on, unfolded, or tampered products are not eligible.
  • Overseas customers bear return shipping charges; domestic returns are free.

Exchange Policy

  • Exchange requests must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Product must be in original condition, with tags and invoice.
  • Sarees with fall, pico, tassels, or alterations are not eligible for exchange.
  • Apparel/garments and cut fabrics cannot be exchanged.
  • Shipping charges (both ways) apply to international exchanges.
  • If exchange policy is repeatedly misused, we reserve the right to refuse future exchanges.

Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled before shipment, provided no customizations (fall, pico, tassels) have been added.
  • Only unstitched sarees, stoles, and dupattas are eligible for cancellation.
  • Upon cancellation:
    • You may receive a credit note.
    • Refunds (if opted) will incur bank/payment gateway charges.
  • No cancellations once the order is dispatched.

Refund Policy

  • No refunds for special-priced or customized products.
  • Refunds are issued:
    • For incorrect/damaged items.
    • In the form of store credit or bank refund within 7-15 working days.
  • Bank refund requires submission of account details. Time taken by banks may vary.
  • In case replacement isn't possible, you can opt for another product of the same value.

Important Notes

  • Do not accept tampered/damaged/unsealed parcels. Report immediately with photos.
